Inspired by Mr Skunk's Fantastical Music Thread, I have decided to make this thread, where I will be posting songs from various anime. I will try to post 1 song a day just like in Mr Skunk's thread, but soon I'm leaving for 2 weeks and will have limited access to a computer. Today's song will be posted later. :)

Well, this is interesting. :w00t:

And I was going to ask to help post songs for those two weeks you'll be away, but then I realized I'll be going away for two weeks as well!

(probably not at the same time, I'll be leaving around the 15th)

oooooo, I've always liked this song. Don't worry, I did download it. I lost my other copy, lol. :p Again, this is Hirasawa's style. It's very strange, but ADDICTIVE! :w00t: I reccommend that people try this song.

Latu, perhaps you could provide us with more description of the current song. I'm a fan of Hirasawa, which is the only reason I know about the song. But in general, I'm not a big anime fan.... (exclude Tezuka from that statement) I'd enjoy to know some background of the anime, and maybe a song description. That way, I can understand it better.

Paranoia Agent
Tv.com wrote:When darkness overcomes the heart,
Lil' Slugger appears...

An elementary school boy on rollerblades dubbed Lil' Slugger (Shounen Bat) is said to be responsible for a series of mysterious hit-and-run assaults in Tokyo. The circumstances are always the same: none of the victims can recall the boy's face and only two distinct details are left in their memories - golden rollerblades and the weapon, a golden baseball bat bent like a dog's leg.

Two police detectives, Keiichi Ikari and Mitsuhiro Maniwa, are assigned to the case to track down the perpetrator and put an end to his violent and random spree. What at first may seem like a typical act of juvenile vandalism soon turns out to bear the signature of an unclear evil. The attacks never leave their victims as they were before as each victim before the attack is overcome by stress, depression, or an emotional trauma created by their environment, their past, or their secrets. They are so overwhelmed that they enter a state of paranoia as they fight their inner demons. After a good smack in the head, they seem as if that their emotional trauma has been alleviated. Starting with the first victim Tsukiko Sagi, a shy character designer who created the immensely popular pink dog Maromi, the detectives follow what little clues they have and try to apprehend the boy. But just when they think they got it solved, things get more complicated as they reach the end of their line.

Anime: Paranoia Agent
Song Title: Dream Island Obsessional Park
Album: Paranoia Agent Original Soundtrack
Vocals by Susumu Hirasawa

This song, which is the opening theme to Paranoia Agent, is very energetic and fastpaced. It may seem a bit stange at first, especially while watching the opening scene. I don't know what else to say, so just listen to the song, it speaks for itself.

Oh yes, this song. I know this song quite well. It's a classic! :w00t:

I don't pay much attention to anime anymore, but when I was a fan of it, this was one of my favorite shows. I think I enjoyed how.... um, strange it made me feel. Though I don't watch it anymore, I still have great admiration for it. It really did push the limit. My favorite was End of Evangelion. That was intense. As for the song, I believe it's popular in the anime world, and well worth a listen.
