Well thats a tough question. Pretty much the PS3 is a PC that hooks up to your tv, thats why its gonna be so bloody expensive. Then again u look at how much PC's are (usually in the thousands), then the PS3 would be looking cheap for those who can afford it. The Nintendo Wii is introducing some neat ideas such as the tilt sensitive controller and such. The nice thing about nintendo is that they make their systems affordable for anyone. Looking at the PSP and the DS, the DS has been selling more units despite how more powerful the PSP is. Fans are in love with the Nintendo characters and have been for many many years, Nintendo is one of the pioneers of console home gaming which has spawned sony and microsoft to join the console industry. So there will be fans buying the Wii without a doubt. Xbox 360 has already made its way in the market. Im sure Bill Gates will have some tricks up his sleeve, plus the release of Halo 3. Plus the xbox 360 may go cheaper when the ps3 is released to lure in some fans. I personally believe in the game play of a video game that makes a game successful. Graphics and power are nice icing on the cake, but games like mario 64 and conkers bad fur day for the n64 will always remain great games not because of graphics, but of the great game play and great game design that has inspired other company's to follow in their footsteps. I would say all 3 systems will be successful in their own way.

That is all I needed to hear cause it is the truth, so much hate for the PS3 but none of it is true. They try and start rumors about it but really it is not that bad of a system and as long as they have FF, Metal Gear, Kingdom Hearts, and other Franchises behind it then the PS3 and beyond shall not fail.
BTW the Wii is motion Sensor not Tilt PS3 is Tilt.

To me, there all the best.
But I can't afford them now though.
If I ever become rich, I will.

The PS3 is scheduled to feature no less than 7 co-processors for various tasks such as 3D preprocessing, physics computations, the game itself, etc. This is considered by many people as overkill and/or too complicated for most game developpers, who are likely to use only the main processor. I guess that some people can have some grudge toward Sony for putting too many co-processors with such a high price.
However, I think that the PS3 is hated for another reason. Since last year, Sony have made themselves an extremely bad reputation with the rootkit scandal. Facts are that the company that has caused the scandal, Sony BMG Music Entertainment, is not the same as Sony Computer Entertainment, the one that manages the Playstation as a whole, even though they are both manages by Sony Corporation. Nevertheless, the name of Sony as a whole has been tainted in this scandal.

The real sign that someone has become a fanatic is that he completely loses his sense of humor about some important facet of his life. When humor goes, it means he's lost his perspective.

It's hard to say. I'd have to take a look at where the consoles are sitting a year or so from now. X-box has the advantage of being first... it's already fairly well established & the other two major players aren't even out yet. The Nintendo has that wicked controller & whole new approach to gaming, that looks really awesome in my opinion... they also have some of the oldest & most beloved franchises in gaming (mario, zelda, metroid), and of course the low price tag. The PS3 has the advantage of some pretty snazy hardware under the hood, the popularity of the Playstation brand name, nearly a decade of games backward compatible games, SQUARE-ENIX & (being last)some time to learn from their competitors mistakes... but then there's that price tag...
I'm no market anylist, but I predict that all 3 of these systems will have a good run. The real fight seems to be between the XBox & the PS3, as nintendo seems to be forging their own unique niché. I don't think these will be the last systems from Sony, Microsoft, or even Nintendo.
