This is getting crazy. It's bad enough there is spam in e-mail, but now the moderators have to work overtime to keep it off this page. Why can't people just leave some things alone. Sorry about this but I'm just venting.

Yeah, it's a bit annoying. I now try to check the nickname of the last registered member on the main page to see if I can prevent him/her from spamming before it happens. It worked a couple of times, but it seems they don't always wait for a long time before posting for the first time.

For now it's still not that bad, but if it gets worse, maybe we'll see if it would be worth it to try some things. :d evil:

I suggest to not even open those threads to not reward the spammers. Also, if a thread isn't spam in itself but doesn't make sense, it would probably be better to ignore it, as well.

We've sorted it out. It seems most or all of them were bots, and upgrading the captcha system has stopped them.

Yeah it makes sense, but I don't think it would really work. A spammer or troublemaker can change their name so easily.
