   I had a Christmas present this year I certainly could have done without. A terrible bout of diarrhoea.

It lasted from Christmas morning through to the day before New Year's Eve. I'm afraid I didn't exactly have such a very good holiday this year

But never mind. I'm over it now. I'm very happy that I have all my presents in any case. :w00t:

I hope you all had a much better Christmas time and Happy 2009 to you.

Did you take Pepto or immodium?

:( I can relate to occasional problems of this nature, but a week-long bout, surely you had the flu?

Actually it was just diarrhoea, which was very nasty enough. So I was taking Gastro-stop capsules cybotron.

At least I didn't feel like I had the flu also Jeffbert. But I don't wish to have either of those next Christmas.

Glad to hear you're doing better, MightyAstro. About one year ago I've had the stomach flu during almost 4 weeks; each time at night when I was supposed to sleep I felt like puking any second. Being sick at the stomach or the intestines is a pretty nasty thing.

Imodium is of help indeed, as Cybotron sugested. About nausea I found Motilium to be a good choice, I think it's even from the same producer. (nearly said 'publisher' :p )

That's too bad. I don't remember which holiday, but I had a nice 3 day weekend this year that I couldn't even enjoy because I didn't feel well. It's frustrating to not be able to enjoy holidays, especially a week at Christmas time.

At least it's something that one can easily recover! :)

:d oh: Blast those germs! Sometimes it's as though they especially wait with their strike until holidays in order to leave our working days unharmed. I'm for the other way around, after all, medical certificates weren't invented for nothing. :shifty:
