I've been lurking here for a while, but decided to start posting recently, ^___^

My connection with Astro is pretty unusual.. I've always wanted to watch ther anime/read the manga since I was seven(Computer whiz, internet at age six, computer since age two. Put that together with Sailor Moon and you get: Instant Anime Otaku). But anime/manga only boomed in Sweden when I was ten, and the translators treat the market as weaboos... So they translated the 2003 manga instead of the original. I read the 2003 manga, even if I knew it wasn't the original, but I still loved it alot. I still do!

I like very many things by Tezuka, like Black Jack and Princess Knight. Rock, and Pinoko are my favorite characters, along with Princess Sapphire. Though Atlas/Daichi and Denkou are my favorite Astro Boy characters...

I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to manga... I didn't know there had been a 2003 manga. Is it from the 2003 series?

Ah, yes. It's by Akira Himekawa, who drew the Zelda OT and MM manga. She's good at drawing manga based on different things. The 2003 manga is based on the 2003 anime.

The manga is quite different from the anime in some aspects. Firstly, Daichi/Atlas is more, well... Beliveable and cooler, without adding spoilers? It is only three volumes long, so it consists of the Atlas story and the Tenma story, there is no Robotannia arc, and the Atlas/Tenma story intertwines. There are also several episodes-adapted-into-one-shots, and the longer Denkou story(It ends a bit differently). You can PM me if you would like spoilers.

Ah, yes. It's from 2003, I'm 100% certain. ^___^ I can't pinpoint the exact chapter, since I don't have my manga here, though.
