Happy Days is an old comedy Tv series from the 60's or 70's. And one of the main characters in it was known as The Fonz or Fonzie to his friends.

I was never a big fan but I remember it well.

The theme song went something like this.

Sunday Monday Happy Days
Tuesday Wednesday Happy Days
Thursday Friday Happy Days
Saturday and what a day.
It's here for me and you.
These days are ours.
They're yours and mine
Oh yes. They are our happy days.

Too retro for me. I have heard the name but have never been interested in much from that far back.

I watched it when I was young, but since then, I have acquired an overall dislike of sitcoms. To me, any show that needs canned laughter to tell the viewers when to laugh is not all that funny. I do enjoy the music, though. I do make exceptions for sitcoms, though, as I found Get Smart to be quite funny in recent viewings.

I think Happy Days was inspired by or inspired American Graffiti & The Lords of Flatbush, it may have been responsible for the Sha naa naa show, at least in part. Oldies live, though not on radio; I listen to Rockit radio every day.

I do recall a few scenes from Happy Days, 1 was when Ritchie was in a pool hall whose regulars were about to kick his butt. He tried to get help from the guy at the counter, who replied, "I don't know nuttin; I only work here." :D
