This may have been improved, but it still disregards many parameters. It disregards any numeric parameters such as '116' in my search for Greatest Robot. It rejected 'WB' in my search for "Kids WB". I easily found the threads I wanted using google.

I hate, HATE forum search engines that don't allow for under 3 letters in a word. Constantly mess me up - lol. Most I've seen seem that way though - good to know Google works well in these cases.

I seem to remember that some forums (maybe vBulletin?) use an index table to search. This index stores all words at least 3 letters long and associate all posts where these words appear. This of course excludes numbers and small words of 1 or 2 letters. Doing otherwise (such as a hard indexation such as Google does) would probably require too much horse power for an architecture with a single forum.
