Bleh, I was going to go to Japan this summer, but lots of coincidental circumstances have led to me being unable to do so. The good news is this has left me with a large surplus of saved funds with which I can buy a new laptop or something (I was saving up on my own, and almost had enough, too!). Besides, I think that Japanese studies at the college I'm going to has a semester-long exchange program of some sort...

Regardless, you'd better have fun over there! XD I lack Facebook and thus shall lack pics, but I wish you well~ : )

You get to go to Japan!? NO FAIR! I'm stuck this summer in the small boring town of Alliance Ohio, having to take summer gym. I could only dream of going on a vacation anywhere, let alone overseas (well, my family may take a trip to Cedar Point amusment park, but not an overnight stay). I want to visit the Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum in Takarazuka. My leader at Girls Together, an after school program, once went to Japan, and at the Kyoto train station in Tokyo, there was an Astro Boy statue. She took a picture of it, and gave it to me.
You're not a joke, you fit right in!

Sorry I'm late finding this topic; we had to get shoes and go to a greenhouse outside of town, barely and unknowingly avoiding a tornado. We're already friended on Facebook, and I can't wait to see the pictures. :)

That reminds me...I need to print out and send my picture for next year's trip application. (Despite being part of the School Board and having access to, like, information of every kid in town, they'd rather call really late and ask that I fork over my own picture.) The closest I've ever been to a genuine Asia trip was the T&T Supermarket in the West Edmonton Mall, so I hope to go where you are someday soon.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't. We didn't even know there was a tornado outside the city, and we were just marvelling at the huge, dark clouds and the lightning.
