...And I was pleased. This is considered one of Tezuka's more "adult" works, which is true, but I was relieved that it wasn't as gross as "Ode to Kirihito". Probably the part I liked the most was that the reader, nor the main character, was certain of what was reality and what was dream. My only complaint is that the two volumes are not anywhere as cool looking as the Black Jack series. Oh well.

Apollo's Song blew my mind. o_o A lot of Tez's adult manga have really deep, psychological themes that are almost difficult to fully grasp. I've read AS over four times and it still hits hard.

I think a lot of Tez's work would have done better had it come out nowadays. That psychological approach in manga is all the rage now, lol.

Well, we got Ayako in November and we're apparently getting Human Metamorphosis in the summer, so I guess those would still apply.

Hopefully, but they were probably "more the rage" when they first came out in Japan. Of course Tezuka is better known in Japan also, so whether or not his serious works become popular is debatable. Vertical is doing a nice job with them though.

Agreed. I just kinda wish they would also try out some different series, since I'm not overly a fan of Tezuka's more serious works. But I guess they're solely in the market for it.

What I would do to get a copy of X-Point on the Pacific Isle...
