What antivirus do you run ?

Postby Atomars » 14 years ago

Do you use an Antivirus program :unsure :? If yes, which antivirus do you run? I use Avast! Antivirus on my Windows Vista & Windows 7.

I used to use AVG Free, until it corrupted my system files with one of its updates. Thankfully my computer managed to recover itself, but unfortunately there weren't too many lucky people... It apparently affected Vistas and Windows 7s that were x64.

I since moved onto to Microsoft Security Essentials. I know what you're probably all thinking, but it was a viable replacement for me.

I also use Spybot: Search and Destroy for other things.

I hear Microsoft Security Essential is good too, so, I guess you don't have any problem

I use Kaspersky Internet Security. It is AWESOME! A bit pricey at $60 a year, but it is sooo worth it. It catches everything and practically flosses my computer clean. Also, it comes with a clickable keyboard so I can protect my password. B)

Whatever it doesn't find, I double up with Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes is free and usually picks up whatever anyone else doesn't. It doesn't do as much as Kaspersky, but it works for what I need it to.

With those, I can't loose!

Why do I have two antivirus programs? I run into a lot of crap downloading torrents... xD I'm such a stinker.

I used to use AVG. When my sister got the Banker Fox virus on my mom's computer, it didn't find it after three scans. Got Kaspersky, found it in three seconds. :D

Me and my family use Nortans,it it's worked very well,it saved my computer twice from hackers and my sisters as well, before we had Nortans,i don't remember what but it didn't work well, one time i was on wiki and I typed in the search and I took me to a site of extreme adult content and I screamed Abd hid under the desk it sat on and I tried to close it and couldn't so it froze and my brothers were in the room so I shut it off and we had Nortans since
