I just got my copy from Amazon! And I'm glad I waited to get this home version.

OMG I love this film anyway!
The Best full animation I have ever seen! The 3D is spectacular!
Easily the best and most complex I've ever experienced! The story is fantastic! This is a must for every fan of 3D Animation. You are not even giving your 3D LED tv a workout if you don't have this in your collection. Honestly! Every feather... Every leaf was animated!!! And the depth of the 3D was beyond anything I've yet seen!

I saw this one with my siblings and mother when it first came out, and it was very lovely in 3D; I appreciated how dark some of the movie is for a kid's show. I don't know if I'd watch it again and again unless I were in it for the graphics, or young and in for the story.
Unfortunately I only think of that Saturday Night Live skit about the fake commercial for a rave, and after introducing all these DJs, the growling announcer yells, "FEATURING A 2D SCREENING OF THE OWLS OF GA'HOOLE."

I was astonished at every level of this film! It was timely, and the metaphor was perfect! Rare! It was like the Queen of England teaching a class of Commandos. Brilliant, pearl like. A Jewell of the entire cinematic age...

Not a fan of this film at all. Besides the metaphor of the story being too obvious, it had every cliche ever, including the annoying ones that makes you screech your teeth when watching most children movies (idiotic duo only there to get on your nerves obviously decide to follow our heroes, hero falling in love and becomes bumbling). On top of that the only good scene in the entire movie (a speech about how there's no poetry or magnificence in war) is followed by the hero doing the exact opposite in his final battle. Talk about hypocrisy. Nice animation, but it makes it all the more painful it couldn't have had a better script. =(
