50 brave souls at the Fukashima nuclear plant have chosen to stay untill death to do what they can to stop or slow the disaster.

Light a candle for them tonight and pray. Never in my life have I witnessed such valor.

My candle is lit, and I'll be praying for their safety and success all night. :(

What an amazing bunch of people. God bless every one of them (and their families).

Dan is there an particular charity(ies) you recommend to contribute to in order to help -- wonder if some organizations would be quicker with response than others?

I just did it with the rest of my girlscouts, im at a sleepover for the end of the year party. I Asked them to pray for five minutes around a candle, and they agreed to it. Allthough some of them wouldn't take it seriously, We prayed and hopped for the best for the 50 brave men in fukashima who are risking there lives for us. I led the prayer saying "God, please keep the 50 men who live for us, in saftey and and to finnish there mission unharmed. Please Save those in the hospital, and we all pray for those in all of japan. God bless them, everyone."

I lit a candle just now.

I didn't have any Catholic prayers to remember though, it's been years since I quit being Catholic... So I instead recited Hi no Tori: Chapter of Hou-Ou's ending theme.

Okay, well... I've decided to do this regularly every night at 10:00 for five minutes. At least, every night until this crisis is over

Power has been restored to the Fukushima plant now, though that doesn't mean that the pumps are working.

The damage right now is considered "stable"...not good but not getting worse.

The Fukushima 50 have bought Japan precious time at the risk of their lives, true heroes.
