BUCK RODGERS serial 4/30 on TCM

BUCK RODGERS serial begins Saturday morning 4/30 on TCM, with two segments per Saturday iuntil completion. As I understand it, these were 1st shown on Saturday matinees, as kids' entertainment. I have already seen the color TV series, so this should be interesting.

Seems a intresing Sci fi show i would try it out if i could watch american tv.

I've never heard of Buck Rodgers (accually its starting to sound like someones said that name before) hhhmm whats it about?

I was watching it this morning while making Italian Easter Pies! Now I see where that transporter on Star Trek came from!
The spaceships sound like RC airplanes!!

I used to watch the TV series from the 70s (or 80s?) too.

As I recall, this guy does the RIP VAN WINKLE bit, but for several hundred years instead of just 20. So, everything is hi tech, & he is out of place. Yet, he becomes a hero.
