OLDIES SADNESS: Carl Gardner DIED SUNDAY

Carl Gardner, lead singer of The Coasters dead at 83.

I was about a generation too late to really have been influenced by the music of the late 1950s, but I developed a liking for it from having watched AMERICAN GRAFFITI, & the TV show SHA NAA NAA.
I had to google THE COASTERS to even know which member had died, as I knew none of their names. I frequently listen to oldies on the Internet, & THE COASTERS has been one of my favorite bands for some time.
