Let's say there's some canned food, no air inside and it's never been opened. If you left that for a 100 years would you still be able to eat it?

I'm asking because somebody claimed that on some steak still in it's can after nearly 60 years. Made me curious if something like that can really be true o_O;

I believe it, though mystery contents may taste a little stale.

The real question is, would you want to eat it?

Botulism is an illness caused by eating the botulinum toxin, it can be lethal. And because it is produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, which is anaerobic (which means that it deosn't require oxygen to thrive), I would think twice before eating your 60-years old meat
