Whoa, that robot looks really cool. I personally don't think it looks like Astro, but I can guess why you think so. But the robot is very amazing either way. Technology is advancing so fast, it's kinda scary and exciting at the same time.

I think the resemblance may be accidental; the two peaks on top are similar to some I have seen in other anime; though I could be wrong.

I can see what you mean, Saruta. He does lack in cuteness however.
I'd take him anyway, he seems impressive!

I have read the comment thread there. There was significant input in development from a Japanese university. This nearly proves a fan *is* lurking somewhere; quite possibly more than one fan.
