DARPA competition for humanoid robots

GIZMAG just made a page about this competition for real autonomous robots, as opposed to remote-controlled units:

The article states that the intention is to find a robot able to deal with rescues in disasters, & the prize is $2M!
If they can actually make one that meets the specs, household helpers are just around the corner.
