I need help with a decision, an important decision
Okay, as some of you may or may not know, I got a boyfriend recently. We got to go to the band dinner dance last month, and I was in love. There's one thing though. I'm not sure if we're compatable, if we have chemistry now. Our interests are totally different. He's into certain video games and weird Brony fan fics, and I try to listen, but the point is I don't understand anything of it. And I feel am bit shy to tell him in more detail about the stuff I like, like Regular Show and Sailor Moon, and Astro boy and stuff. And, maybe this is the more self centured part of me talking, but I wish he could be more romantic. Maybe I'm just selfish, but than again, he's only my secound boyfriend. I was hoping to get my first kiss at the dance. At some times I comtemplate wanting to break up with him, but it's not like I have guys lined up wanting to date me though. Some boys treat me well, like Meg from Family Guy, (no offence) and she's not even that ugly. But I also want to keep Thomas. He's nice and kind, and he's also very handsome, like Tuxedo Mask. Can I get some advice?
You're not a joke, you fit right in!

I think you should come out and say everything you like. If he tells you what he likes and expects you to listen then he most likely will listen to you. I get the brony thing
lots of my friends are bronies. It's a little confusing but you learn
but i think if you really like him. Then go for it!

yah tell him about your interests, and take it slow, don't try to rush the relationship, let it advance on it's own.
as for guys not lining up to date you, your a nice girl, if they can't see that then they aint looken.

Yes, you've been given excellent advice so far!
Definitely be honest about who you are and what you like - that's all part of finding out if he's going to "fit" with you.
Perhaps even more important - it's NOT crucial that you both enjoy all the same things. What matters is that you respect and care for each other (and support each others interests and hobbies). As you get to know one another you will definitely find things that you will NEVER share, but that doesn't mean you have to give those things up.
As an "old married woman" -
- I can tell you one of the great "secrets" to a great relationship is being best friends, and giving each other room to have your own separate interests. That actually helps keep both of you from being TOO much alike, and never "on your own."
So if he doesn't care for Regular Show and Astro, and you don't care for Brony, that's actually okay - especially if there are other things you both DO enjoy together.
Hope that helps!!

Just tell him what you like! It's not like you enjoy anything creepy...if anything, the only thing you risk is him becoming interested in one of your favourite shows! And like April sad, it's totally fine liking something different and separately. I recently dated a guy whom liked Giant Robo as much as me, although I'm more into music and he into World of Warcraft. (Having to sit by while he played and described it was a bit of a drag, but like I said, you don't need to share it all.)

Oh yeah, it happened back in March...I was uploading some episodes of Time Squad (educational cartoon about a nerdy kid, a huge superhero cop and a campy robot), but Cartoon Network murdered my account because of it. Which video was it? I still have all my YTPs, so I can put them up any time.
