An old friend of mine has passed away.

Today, an old friend of mine whom I have known since I was little was struck by a man in a pickup truck when he was walking on a sidewalk. He was found on the sidewalk with serious injuries by police and was taken to the hospital, where he died soon after. Police reports say the driver might have had a medical episode when he hopped the curb onto the sidewalk. Also, eyewitnesses say the driver was driving erratically at the time. Not much is known at this point.
My friend was 22 at the time of his death. Thankfully, he didn't suffer long. At least I know he's in a better place now.

Oh mai gawd I'm so sorry. I know how you feel. 2 of my friends committed suiside last year and a friend of my Sis was in a car accident with a drunk driver.

I am sorry to hear about the loss of your friend.
I am never sure how to respond to these things.
nice to see the community here being so supportive.
