Ohhh I'm so sorry to hear of your loss - what a cute little doggy!!! But, yes, better than suffering!

My husband and I had to make the same decision about our dear lab, Pepper. He couldn't bear to be there, but I just had to. I sat on the floor and held her and kissed her and could actually feel her "energy" lift up and away from her body - it was amazing and very peaceful (like she was flying to heaven).

We cried and cried and miss her to this day (that was almost 20 years ago) -

looks like you do have another dog?

Awww, that's sad, especially since he'd been your friend for so long!

He really was beautiful! I wish I had one like that, but it's such a long term commitment and I would want to provide him with the maximum care and attention.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Dogs are such wonderful creatures, so it's sad when these kinds of things happen. Still though, at least you have your memories of him. That way, you can always look back on them and smile at such good times.

I have a little dog so I know what kinda attachment people can form with the little fur balls, those kinda things hurt bad when broke, I can imaging how your feeling.

as was mentioned atleast you had the experience of having such a bond.

still I am sorry that you had to go threw what you did.

So sorry for your loss, Tetsuwan Atom.

My old next door neighbor was a scientist, who said that if they live long enough, all dogs & cats will develop cancer.

Our 1st cat lived to be about 17; she had cysts on her head. I spoiled her by feeding her whatever meat that I found not to my liking. She would sniff her cat food, & meow as horrible a meow you ever heard. & that was the canned type, not the dry. :p

Sorry to hear of your loss, Tetsuwan Atom. I can't imagine the pain you must be going through. I have never owned a pet, so I am not quite sure what to say.

I will say that he was a beautiful dog though.
