BARBARA - unavailable?!

Amazon just informed me that my pre-order of BARBARA had been cancelled because it was unavailable. Fortunately, I found 1 copy sold by an amazon seller for about $20, & ordered that.
Was this one of those things that people had pledged to buy before it was even published?

It shows Barbara by Osamu Tezuka (Oct 9, 2012) so the release date is tomorrow!

Jup The Bookdepository.UK says it ships morning so jeffbert you did bought a copy that was from the Kickstarter project, so secondhand

?
Weird that even as much as one person who pledged would sell it already ?
Should have done your homework i guess.

Defnitely not. The first batch is probably sold out and we need to wait a few days for stores to restock.

Double post agian but kind of a noteworthy update on this matter i canceled my order from Thebookdepository, and when i wanted to buy it at DMP's own website it was going to cost me a total of 60,50 Dollars because of shipping being over $40 to Europe and the risk of maybe having to pay takes because it would come in a huge box or something for it ridicilous !!!!!
It wasn't that when i bought Swallowing the earth at there website so i din't do it and found a cheap way to get it new from an offical ebay retailer it only costed me 8 euro's more to get it there then from the TBD.
So i got mine brand new offical for still a good price well that's done

but siriously DMP this is no way of making money it's not like Vertical needs this crappy format for releasing Tezuka titles but o well i got my stuff can't wait to read it

.

I just received my copy yesterday, but it has a manufacturing defect: the very 1st page's inner edge was not trimmed correctly, & it has a corner hanging out with a folded portion that was not inside the binding. I am going to contact the seller, & initiate a refund/return, though I do not know about the availability of fresh copies from Amazon itself.
