So, I've been really into the Yu-Gi-Oh original anime (NOT the Duel Monsters crap- for those of you who don't know, it's also sometimes mistakenly called "Season Zero")- I've already watched all 27 episodes, AND the short movie with the Red-Eyes. Soanyways, I couldn't help but think of just how smexy Yami no Yugi's voice is in this anime...
But, horror of horrors, I think I just found out that his voice actor may have, in fact, been a woman.
I mean, I /thought/ his voice was kinda femme, but... damn... D':

XD That's almost exactly how I am with Sailor Moon at the momment, watching everything Sailor Moon. XD And for real, he's voiced by a woman?

Uh-huh. Megumi Ogato, apparently. Turns out, she's got an impressive resumé as a voice actress (RELEVANT: Sailor Uranus, for one thing), and she's also a singer. Apparently, because of her "husky voice", she often gets type-cast as young men or boys, as well as tomboys. Talk about misleading, though! I figured they used a woman to get the child's voice for Yuugi Mutou (although why they went the kiddie route is beyond me), but...
The worst part is, I still think he's kinda sexy. O-O; (I wish they hadn't changed the manga's plot to focus more on the Duel Monsters cards; this show might have stayed around longer, and had more episodes to watch... The plot revolving around all sorts of creative games, and his epic punishments for those who broke the rules, or lost, was a lot more fascinating and fun; not to mention cooler. How can he be the "King of Games" if he only plays one!?)
