That's like my Mother & sister. They like basic phones. Besides my sister breaks her phone so much she can't afford an expensive phone. So she buys a prepaid phone & puts her sim card in it.

How do you like it? I assume you are on Android?

Personally I don't care much for Apple products because I find them too expensive. I suppose that if I had always had Macs, I probably would be more tempted to buy them, but since it's not my case...

It is sn android. I like it so far. It's easier to put songs & pictures on & take off. also, if there isn't something you can do there is an app tp do it. One thing I want for email & text on my phone is the "You've Got Mail" thing from AOL. That shows how old I am. lol

I'm surprised that you find such a difference in the number of applications. I was sure there were as many for iPhones and Androids, and Apple is known for being very easy to use. Interesting comparison! :)

It's not you, Big Astro Fan -- it's Apple. I-Tunes has become a nightmare, according to my husband, who (used to) use them all the time. He doesn't have an Iphone, but and Ipod Touch (Iphone without the phone - into which he loads Skype and uses as a phone without the high prices!)

Apple products WERE very easy to use but they've become increasingly unreliable and finicky. A lot of folks LOVE their Iphones, but from what I can see, they are overpriced and Apple is constantly fiddling with their phone/Ipod operatings systems - and each new version seems to offer less and less (the new YouTube ap is awful) and that seems to have a lot to do with the "battle" between Apple/Google/Adobe/Microsoft.

I haven't updated my Ipod Touch in a couple years, and my hubby is jealous because mine is actually easier to use.

Congrats and good with your new phone!

I only use iTunes to buy songs, but since I don't own any Apple device, I have to burn them on CD before being able to export them onto another device, which annoys me so much. :p irate: I would probably buy more if I could just do what I wanted with those songs.... (This is just like DVD zones or other format inconveniences...) Other than that, iTunes works fine for me but of course I do very little with it.

drm just makes it harder for us to use our legally perched content, it doesn't stop pirates like it is supposed to.

it is for that reason I will never use itunes to buy music, or at all for that matter.

I choose an android phone when I got a smart-phone because it is open and I have more freedom then IOS does.
