I have to wonder why you would think that creating another forum with Astro Boy content . . . and then promoting it HERE, would be a positive thing?
Racoonangel . . . look at the thousands and thousands of comments, insights, images, links, fanfics, here -- and the hundreds of members and guests who visit us everyday. What you might not realize is that we have many, many "regulars" who read our posts, but don't leave comments, or join as members . . . and most of them find us because we are large enough and established enough to come up an virtually any search for Astro Boy or Tezuka.
Your new forum will only be found by people who see your message here, and you invite personally for a long time. If, instead, you start a thread here with the same topic you were going to put on your own forum there is a much larger audience to respond to it.
By making a separate forum, and inviting people to join it . . .
you are now asking them to share content away from here, and that means Astroboy Online will lose out.
There are a few ABO members who have forums where friends they've made here get together and talk among themselves - but they are still active members here, and this is where they contribute most of their Astro Boy conversations.
Sometimes you seem anxious for people to respond to your threads and videos, but you should know that most posts that are read do
NOT receive comments by the people who read them. That doesn't mean we aren't following (or don't like) your threads or reading your fanfics or watching your videos. You contribute a lot of great stuff here, and we'd like to encourage you to continue to do that!
Having your own website is wonderful . . . but you could also posts links to your threads here - which is almost like adding a forum to your website.
