Rainbow Parakeet Manga Kickstarter

So, I've been thinking about this for awhile, but I was wondering if we could maybe start up a Kickstarter to get Rainbow Parakeet published over here?

Ever since I started looking into Tezuka, Rainbow Parakeet has probably been the one manga of Tezuka's that I've wanted to read the most of his many works. Yet despite the vast amount of Tezuka titles available in print over here, I've never seen Rainbow Parakeet even mentioned at all. But then it hit me; if we could get Unico published over here through Kickstarter, why not Rainbow Parakeet?

Only problem though is that I don't really know how Kickstarter works exactly, so if anyone could fill me in, that'd be great! Thank you.

"We" can't just start a Kickstarter for a manga series. Someone who is a publisher/translator can, after they have acquired the rights from Tezuka Productions. Kansai Club Publishing will start a Kickstarter for Tezuka's The Crater soon, and they want to acquire more of this kind of works, so you could request Rainbow Parakeet to them for their next work if The Crater is a success.

Oh, I see. Well, that shows how little I know about how Kickstarter actually works.

Well, I'll be sure to give them the recommendation. Thanks, F-Man.

Indeed it doesn't works that way but you can always ask Kansai or DMP about it but since it's 5 volumes i don't think it can be released that way easily.

We still haven't seen a manga that was actually longer than 2 volumes being released with kickstarter would be neat if someone finally went out there way and do it though.
for now i can only guide you to the only Western translation to date of it which is in French and out of print at that but not that hard to find.
