I'm going to my first anime convention!

I can't wait, in 6 days I'm going to my first ever anime convention! I'm going with my dad and Sis. We're going to Colossalcon in Sandusky Ohio, (right by Cedar Point) a few hours away from where I live. Me and Sis are gonna cosplay. Since we've been watching YuGiOh latley, we're cosplaying as YGO villains. I'm Dark Bakura and she's Marik. I even made a Millennium Ring and Rod. I can't wait.
TO COLOSSALCON OR BUST!!!!!!

Awr. I think Animazment or whatever it's called already happened... I'm pretty sure that's the one near here... in the same state, at least, I think.
I'd love to go to Dragoncon someday. But NOT without a good cosplay!

Reminds of the the very first Star Trek convention in NYC (Hotel Americana, I forget what year). People walking around dressed up as Klingons (the TV kind), Vulcans, Romulans (IIRC even a Horta ...now that was a costume!). I never thought of doing that (Don't know where I'd have gotten the costumes or makeup, though today I KNOW there are TONS of shops in NYC that specialize in theatre makeup). But if I had, it would have been WEIRD having to wear that on the subway! (maybe not. you see lots of weirdo's on the NYC subway ... especially near Greenwich Village!)
OH I forgot a funny story.....
Seems somehow we ended up getting off the elevator on the wrong floor just as George Takei managed to lock himself out of his hotel room ... in his underwear.

Hope you have lots of fun!
I've only ever been to one anime convention, which was about 5 years ago. It was an interesting but fun experience.
