Tomorrow is Little Brown Fox's birthday.
I hope she has a happy one.
This is the only Tezuka / Astro related birthday card image I could find.
Maybe someone has done something better in their deviant art?

You really should not have done that... god, I feel so sad and desperate when I tell someone when my birthday is...

Actually April seven mentioned it to me in a pm.
So Happy Birthday and try to put your angst aside for at least one day. At your age birthdays should be a happy time.

Birthdays should be a happy time? I'm turning 20. I'm not even going to be a teenager anymore and therefore everything I say or do is going to come off as creepy. ;-;
But thank you, I guess. I'm just not feeling it right now, is all. Not that birthdays have been special for me for a very long time...
And hey, I'm not angsty. Not too much, anyway, or openly. I just do angsty things to my favorite characters; there's a big difference! I wonder what sort of angst I can cook up for Jetter Mars...? I think I may have a few ideas!

Wait you're 20? I must've missed that. Derp. Everyone is so much older than me *-* (well not everyone...)
Anywho, you won't sound creepy just cuz you're a year older. Don't worry we still like you

Depends on what I do, darlin'. And yes, I am turning twenty. So things I say or do that were once considered "maybe" a little creepy, are bumped up to "definitely" creepy.

things you say and do are just the things you say or do, don't judge yourself so harshly.

Dear LBF ,
For what it's worth, I remember when I turned 20 too - and I also had mixed feelings about it (like all of a sudden I was A WOMAN instead of a girl). You might be surprised at how much about you DOESN'T change as the years go by!
One thing I remember about turning 20 was the "Great Leap Into Womanhood" -- which was a very silly "rite of passage" devised by one of my college dorm-mates. Of course, pizza, wine and beer preceded the main event, which was a countdown til midnight, at which time, the birthday girl would jump over a broomstick that had been laid across the hallway .... signifying her "leap" into the brand new part of life where we would each leave our indelible mark on the world!
Throughout the year, each girl took her turn leaping over the broom, but unfortunately for me, my birthday is in late June, and our semester ended in early May. So I never got to jump over the broom . . . but I did in my mind.
So, get out that broomstick, Little Brown Fox, and give a big ol' wooooo hooooo for yourself!
You take that leap into womanhood and realize that the secret to being a great woman is to never let the "girl" inside disappear.
Happy Birthday!

Heh, I technically thought that the "great leap into womanhood", as you called it, was when I turned 18...
And I'm already the female equivalent of a manchild, I think, thank you very much.
