I work for Blackberry in Fort Lauderdale. Today we had a company group meeting off campus. I sat next to a woman from marketing that I had never met before and we were talking before the meeting started. I had a prototype phone with me that I'm testing (I work in SW R&D) and showed it to her. I had replaced the default home screen with an Astro wall paper and she saw it and replied:
"Oh I know him. I watched that cartoon as a kid in South America, that's Marte!" She then showed me her phone with a home screen with Jetter Mars on it! I had a laugh and explained to her the difference between Astro Boy and Jetter Mars. It seems Astro wasn't as popular in Latin America as Mars was, and she got the two mixed up.

Aw, cool. too bad Mars never got his day; it seems as though he was really popular in other countries.
