The entire series for less than $30?

This can't be serious... Is this some sort of bootleg?

Look on Amazon, the DVD box set for the 2003 ELV is available from many sellers for $25 or less. Same on Ebay. I wasn't aware that the BD was out yet. Because of the higher density, BD requires fewer disks than the DVD, and I suspect the BD copy isn't "full HD", maybe only 720P which would explain being able to fit it all on only 3 disks.

Note that because it IS in Japanese and Chinese the origin might be in question, but this is being sold from Canada, not Korea where many bootleg videos do come from. The packaging photo looks good.

It's not hard to see why considering that the ELV 2003 DVDs were critically panned and the 2003 series (at least in America) bombed; so it has pretty much no value for the average consumer.

The others are good points, but I'm still not fully convinced. If it is the real deal, though, then that's great news since there will finally be an affordable way to own the series (plus I can use it on my PS3, which is neat).

Not only is this blatantly bootleg but it's not even Blu-ray discs you'll get inside the case despite the Blu-ray logo, just 3 DVD-9s. Read the description.

I missed the DVD9 part. I guess some Canadian reseller of Korean junk. I've seen the DVD9 disks for sale before, direct from the far east, but they were clearly labeled on the packaging AS DVD-9.

Well here's hoping that AS will offer this series soon. If they release any Astro Boy stuff on BD I will HAVE to FINALLY buy a BD player. The one I have my eye on is by OPPO Video. It's a rather pricey BD machine, but it plays ANYTHING and has a backdoor to set up up as a region less player.

Hm, I don't even have a TV that can accommodate Blu-Ray. Can't afford either item either way, though.
