Has anyone else been following the new series Almost Human on Fox? So far it's been pretty good, and I typically loathe crime-dramas.

YES! I saw a commercial and decided to see it because of the androids. I think it is good.

So far so good. They have a believable world with believable characters, and Dorian is just so amazing.

I enjoy this series, especially the fact that the emotion equipped robot that had been deemed unsuitable for police work has redeemed itself. While the newer robots had certain pros, they also had their cons, & some serious ones at that.

I don't really watch tv much, or action shows, but it does seem a bit interesting though. I'm actually surprised i'm a little interested in this! The only shows I watch are comedies (like super fun night, or Icarly. lol.)almost human sounds like something to watch, but sadly, it leaves me with little interest. Not too big of a tv fan. It's great to hear about how good it sounds though!

I watch mostly old movies on TCM & streaming, but this (& a few others) have become "must see" for me. I look forward to seeing certain traits in the robot Dorian, & comparing his with those of Hymie, Yoyo, & others, whose biggest flaw seems to be concretely interpreting figures of speech. Dorian seems to be more like Spock to the human partner's Dr. McCoy (of the original Star Trek series) in that his logical thinking clashes with the man's emotive, though Dorian, unlike Spock, is not w/o emotion.

I just watched the episode where John fixes a wound in Dorian's head with abc gum. Love the chemistry between them!

I must admit, I was a bit surprised when, in this week's episode, the topic of anatomically correct androids was presented. I never will be able to purge the sight of a life-sized Ken doll from my poor tortured memory.

As though that were not enough, they could not resist going into a discussion of Dorian's features.

That was so hilarious. You should see some of the gifs that are out on Tumblr on that scene.
I'm really liking how this show is handling Dorian and his class of androids. The psychic in the last episode was most appreciated especially when she stated that she could feel Dorian's energy as calming. Many other shows/series would have simply had her state that she felt nothing when reading Dorian, but instead she was able to signaling that the show and the world in which Dorian lives recognizes that he has life.

I recall that scene, but though Dorian said nothing in response, I thought he was merely being polite. I thought that if, it had been one of his human associates who said that, he would have responded by saying he had no such emanations, etc., though I merely speculate.
