Tonight is the premier of season 6 of Face Off, Syfy's original show where special effects makeup artists create stunning makeups and costumes.
I am a real big fan of this show, and this is the only kind of 'reality' show that I will spend my time on.
Here we can talk about the show, the creations of the talented artists and so on.

Wow! That sounds really cool! I wish I can watch it, except there's only one problem. No cabel...
Do they cosplay as characters in this show? (I'm probably getting the wrong idea here. lol.)

No, this isn't about cosplay. This show is about making outstanding theatrical movie-worthy special effects makeups (prosthetics and the like). It starts out with 12 individuals but then week by week they are eliminated by a panel of judges based on their work. They come up with some really outstanding makeups.

Stuff like the above picture. This was from last season.

That looks amazing! That must've took weeks to make that costume! lol.
Too bad no cosplay though. I was hoping to see some in the show. (I think cosplay is kinda cute in its own way. ^^!)

The artists only have less than two days to make it. It's what makes this show intense.

It's well done and lacks the stupid vindictive drama that most reality TV shows have. It's based on pure talent and imagination. It's on Syfy every Tuesday at 9 pm Pacific time (not sure about other time zones). I'm sure that you can watch full episodes on Syfy's website though.

Tonight's episode of Face Off was really quite interesting and had my attention. The theme was based on crop-circles and the theory that some crop-circles might be distress signals (no that isn't intended to start a topic if crop-circles are real or not, this is just what the theme was). With these themes in mind each artist was paired with another to create a special alien based on what those distress signals might be.
Those distress signals were things such as; we need water, our world is toxic, we are suffering from plague, our gravity is changing, our sun is dying and we are starving. Based on these distress signals they had to create an alien that might fit these themes.
Got to see some amazing pieces tonight and hope to find some pics tomorrow.

Here's some images from the last episode taken from the official website. I wanted to post these as soon as the episode aired but had to wait.

My this detail!

Have not been able to find better photos yet, will probably have to wait.
Next week's episode will be DRAGONS.
