Upcoming Movies/New Movies

Postby Earthshine » 11 years ago

In this thread please feel free to talk about movies that are in theaters now, upcoming movies that you are excited for or just overall new films. This does not have to be limited to JUST Hollywood and Western films but can be direct to DVD/Bluray and even anime. Just so long as it is a movie, even if it is a stand alone film based on a series (such as the Black Jack movie).

Please be wary of spoilers and try to not reveal anything crucial about any new films such as saying "So and so died and it turned out that these two were actually siblings!"

Please mark any spoilers with SPOILER and END SPOILER so everyone knows that they might be seeing something they don't want to see - if you think you might be revealing too much.

Does this site even have spoiler tags BTW? The command prompt of click for spoiler to hide text and one has to click on it to reveal the text? I'm not really good with this stuff, I hope there is a way to do this on this site as a few of my other forums that I frequent allow this...

Does Studio Ghibli's new film "Kaze Tachinu" count?
I joined this forum in late 2013 when I was 15 going on 16. Ignore my oldest posts, they embarrass me so much that I've considered permanantly leaving the forum more than once. I've grown out of my fangirling phase over Black Jack, Atom and Uran ages ago but the memories still embarrass me at times... Though, I try to be more open-minded about it and accept it as an "interesting stage of my life". :tezuka:

Me my brother are excited to see the Lego movie. He loves to collect Legos and watch funny videos on YouTube people make with the Legos. The movie looks funny.
You're not a joke, you fit right in!
So shake it off, and give a grin. Don't be afraid to stand your ground! Crazy, noisy BIZARRE Town!

I'm excited to see the new Godzilla movie that's coming out soon. It looks amazing.

Also, I have seen the trailer for the lego movie on youtube last year in october. It looks very funny, and I really want to see it.

I'm also looking forward to Disney's "Maleficent", which I first saw a trailer of it at the movies last year when my class took a field trip to watch catching fire.

I agree with Tailz on Godzilla and Maleficent. Both of those movies look promising.

There's no spoiler tags right now. I know on another forum I'm on, they implemented spoiler tags last year, so it seems to be something that not all forums have yet.

Maybe if you request spoiler tags through a PM to the admins, they might be willing to put it in. ;)

If it's a new movie, film, presentation, documentary or direct to video feature YES it counts. The only way how it doesn't count, is if it's a series (such as Adventure Time). However if Adventure Time the Movie came out, then that would count because it's a film. Trilogies such as The Lord of the Rings count and even long series of movies such as The Land Before Time, because they are movies.

I REALLY hope this answers any further questions that anyone might have as to what 'counts'.

On February Fourth WB Premier along with DC Comics will release the highly anticipated animated feature Justice League War which is the adaptation of the New 52 version of the iconic team's origin.

I can't wait for this to come out, even though I have some issues with DCs reboot with the N52 universe the six issues of the new formation was enjoyable.

It WAS released digitally on the 21st, but I can't wait for the bluray version with all the extras.

I really can't wait to see it especially when this happens.

Justice League War is the 18th film in the DC Animated Original Universe.

Forgot to mention it in my other post, but I'm really looking forward to Maleficent. They couldn't have chosen a better actress than Angelina Jolie to play the role of Maleficent, at least in my opinion. The new trailer especially looks promising:

Oh I can't wait for that film. I really love Jolie as well, she's an amazing artist and an amazing person. I will definitely be seeing this movie on May 30th.

Robocop is already out. Anyone see that yet? It looks really interesting but I am a little ignorant on the Robocop franchise (only remembering bits and pieces).
