Please use this thread to discuss and share cosplay! Either cosplay by you or even cosplay by others. You can also use this thread to ask for help in how to construct cosplays or share ideas.

Here are some random resources that I use for cosplay every time I cosplay;

Resources for wigs;

http://www.thefivewits.net These people use the highest quality fibers and the wigs are fair in price. The chance that these guys have your specific character's wig in stock is very high (assuming it's from a popular anime). They also have simple wigs that can be altered to your specifications.

Also try ebay! But be careful to read the descriptions on the wigs to make sure what they are made of. You will really want the wig to be made of heat resistant materials; these signify kanekalon or hyperlon which is something you want.

ardawigs.com also have a good variety as well as tutorials.

Li Kovacs is my favorite cosplayer. She's the best Link cosplayer out there in my opinion, and does an amazing Sailor Jupiter as well.

I don't do cosplay myself, though I did dress up as Shaggy one year for Halloween. Sorry, there's no pics of that. :lol:

U shouldn't be then your having the most fun if they ask me to take a picture i'm kinda like why would you even ask if you could.

And talk about being shy at a con a few months ago there suddenly where Camera's from national Dutch tv there where filming a whole day with in about 3 weeks or so many are going to be on National TV that din't ask for it that's really something diffrent :lol:

that BJ is really nice i already saw it somewhere not that many people gonna regonize it at cons which is to bad i was thinking about buying a awesome Captain Harlock cosplay from ebay but despite from it being expensive also many not gonna regonize you and kinda ignore it for the most part ... :shifty:

The main reason why I'm a little self conscious is because click for spoilerI have a bust that is too large for my frame, my rib cage is 32 inches around but my bust line is closer to 45! This gets to be a very real problem when it comes to cosplay and even just everyday life. Because my bust is so large most clothes I wear make me look three times bigger than I am, so when I cosplay I have to bind really tightly which hurts after a while or just let them be as is, and it makes me look 'fat'. :/

As for not being recognized I totally get you! I always cosplay as characters that no one knows anything about sadly, I was Elf X, Raika from Rockman.exe and Princess Sapphire and only a handful of people recognized me. But that's okay!

I cosplay for the joy of it, not for attention.

I've seen this pic before on one of your older threads a while back. (I never bothered to reply to it cause it was abandoned. Also, I was lazy at the time. lol)

Anyways, Sweet BJ cosplay. :cool: It looks almost exactly like the live action Black Jack from the 2011 film. (Well, except that it was a male, but he looked girly. :lol: ) It also looks a bit... Hot! :p ! (I'm such a perv. :rolleyes: ) Me likie! (I swear, I'm not a creeper! :lol: )

I'm thinking of Cosplaying as Black Jack for October this year, (Halloween, yeah, that's the only time I ever dress up.) It will be my first time dressing up as any anime character before, so it may feel a bit weird to me. Also, cause I'm Hispanic and have tan skin, I will be a Hispanic BJ! :lol: Maybe I should try wearing that Beige cape jacket that my mom got a long time ago back in the 70s. She said that it looks similar to Black Jack's vest and cape, except that it's beige and comes with a hat. She's thinking about handing it down to me. I've never seen it before yet, but once its out of the shed and I get to see it, I'm hoping that it would look almost close to Black Jack's outfit. (Though, I doubt it a little, but maybe.) :lol:

Heehee! Thanks. My partner in the Black Jack cosplay got a few good comments, such as one Chinese artist completely freaking out that there was a Black Jack cosplay. :D The artist must have taken 15 photos!

Don't worry, you're not a creepy. I think they are hot too. ;)

A beige Black Jack huh? That would be interesting. I'm sure he has other clothes and doesn't JUST wear black. :lol: I love vintage clothes.

Tailz, as a Hispanic you might need to simulate the two tone skin with some lighter color makeup for his right side, but it could work. It would be a great Halloween dress up. Go for it.

Naw that's not necessary because the left half of Black Jack's face is just darker than the rest of his skin tone, she would just need to make that part darker than the rest of her face. :heart: No need to lighten.
