This short video shows a guy training a little bot to avoid certain colored objects to avoid "boom" and "hurt" - you'll see it trying to get away from what it perceives to be a "green bomb"

What's even more intriguing are the viewer responses - some already calling for AI/robot "rights" -- other claiming this isn't "really" consciousness or "pain."

And so the issues that faced our fictional hero are coming to life in our real world!!

This is cool, but we're still leaps and bounds from a full sentient AI. I think it's good that the conversation for AI rights is already being discussed before we even have this technology though.
