The problem I see, is they will constantly want to build new things, & parents want beds ready for bedtime. The youtube video is adorable!

Call me rude, but I have doubts it is a good idea. The chair for example freaks me out: what if a child sits down on one, put his/her finger right in the forward angle (between the horizontal platform and the forward legs), and push forward? Believe me it will happen, and I'm curious if there is something preventing finger pinching

Edit: Looking better, it seems there is something, but can the children construct without the security?

I do not know if the designers considered the faulty construction methods kids usually use when building with LEGO, that these would become hazardous if the pieces were much larger. My nieces just could not make much of anything that did not fall apart. Yet, it appears that these pieces are modeled on the TECHNIC series, as they must be linked using smaller pieces resembling screws or bolts, & those are secured with what appear to be screws. :D

Sorry to those unfamiliar with LEGO, that paragraph may not make much sense.

But, anyway, I would assume parents are advised to supervise their kids.

Thanks jeffbert for posting the article. I am Jens from OLLA Kidsfurniture and I like to reply to a couple of comments. For sure is safety the first priority for us but same time handling and functionality. The inventors of OLLA are my son (9) and daughter (5) - which came up with the idea and do all final testing of all designs to have a first hand comment! Be assured that I will not let my kids doing any dangerous or unsafe action.
@fafner - good that you had a closer look and yes there is something which calls connectors, OLLA SelfLOCK screws etc. etc. to make sure this kids are 100% safe. You will find more information on our webpage http://olla-kidsfurniture.com
Thanks and Cheers Jens from OLLA Kidsfurniture

Sorry for wasting your time, OLLA Kidsfurniture, but I doubt anyone here has any interest in kids' furniture, especially the expensive type. I simply thought it was an interesting idea, & cute, besides.
