 I was pleasantly surprised to find a commercial for Pie Face on youtube:

What a mess!

I also recall one called Kaboom! in which you take turns working a pump, the one who pops the balloon loses. http://www.samstoybox.com/toys/Kaboom.html

I think MOUSETRAP may have been based on SILLY SAFARI; see the last commercial on this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjS2pPCyUSk They both use the Rube Goldberg way of capturing an animal. Note Billy Mumy (Will Robinson of Lost in Space, as well as a boy you hope never to meet on The Twilight Zone) in a Dick Tracy toy ad.

I recently saw a modern version of the "Rock-em Sock-em Robots" toy at Bed-Bath-and Beyond. I suddenly had this idea of making a version with Astro and Atlas slugging it out :w00t:

We had one called "Get Down Mr. President" when I was in Catholic school.

It wasn't really a game, so much as it was an unspoken understanding when you were in a group of 5+ people. We'd be walking somewhere, or doing something unrelated at recess or at lunch, and one person would put their hand to their ear like they were checking a bluetooth earpiece. Whoever noticed them would quickly do the same. The last person not doing it, or who didn't notice at all, would then be tackled by the rest, who'd all scream, "GET DOWN, MR. PRESIDENT".

It happened on pavement and gym floors. I picked up some bomb reflexes from it, so I never was on the receiving end.

:D That vaguely reminds me of the ST. Patrick's Day assault on anyone not wearing visible green. As far as I was concerned, anyone who pinches me, could drop dead!
