This guy is a spy hiding in the ceiling above him. A Samurai detects him, & he escapes with the others in pursuit. Much will happen, that for brevity, I must skip.


Here is Sasuke's home. Its inhabitants are unaware of the action that just occurred.

This is one of the cutest sequences I have seen:














An enemy ninja. :d evil:

A wounded man bangs on the door, & begs for help:

Unknown to Sasuke & mama, he is the spy, whom the Warlord's men are pursuing.


Believing the inhabitants of the hut to be working with the spy, the female ninja kills mama when she goes out.


Though mortally wounded, mama releases a handful of feathers.








Realizing the danger, the spy restrains the boy, who wants to run to his mama.


This is the item stolen by the spy. He entrusts it to Sasuke.

That's not Tezuka's strip (is it?) but it sure does resemble his style.

No, this is Sanpei Sharato's work, at least it was based on his manga.
