I just heard the sad news that we've lost Mr. Spock!

Although it's rather un-Vulcan, I do feel emotional about this - he was the ULTIMATE "straight man" to Captain Kirk, and was a huge part of what made Star Trek the iconic series it was.

To say he'll be missed is an understatement, but - of course - in so many ways he will always live on.

Just started watching Star Trek: The Original Series for the first time at the end of last year and am still going through it (I'm at the beginning of Season 2 currently). Spock's character is always a highlight of each episode. As April said, he's the perfect straight man to Captain Kirk.

May you live long and prosper in Heaven, Mr. Spock.

Ditto! :ninja:

Nimoy joined the cast of MISSION IMPOSSIBLE in the 4th season (as Martin Landau left the series). I recall seeing Nimoy's eyebrow 'tick' a few times in MI.

Anyway, he will be missed!

I watched the live-action & the animated version also, & as I recall, only the animated version really delved into Spock's childhood & his status as a social outcast.

BTW, thanks for sharing that article, Cybotron. :D
