A few nights ago I had a dream that my fiance and I were hiking up to the Canadian border and got lost somehow and we were making our way towards the nearest road when we happened across an anime cult.

The details got a little fuzzy but Astro Boy was in there somewhere, and it turned into a horror story in which we had to escape

I think this was sparked by a conversation I had with a friend of mine when I stated that most new anime just doesn't please me or interest me and I have had some... unpleasant experiences with anime fans recently.

I had a dream about 5 months ago. I remember I was just walking around like a casual day when a huge mob started to run in the opposite direction I was walking. It turns out some people where robbing a bank and that's when Astro showed up and stopped them, I just looked at Astro and he said something I don't remember but I woke up.

I dropped Astro Boy for a good 5 years and that dream made me watch the series and. And of course I'm obsessed with it again

The drive to get back into things that you dropped interest in can be inspired by the most random of things.

Last night I found myself in some antique shop in NYC near the Manhattan bridge. There were a bunch of old pinball machines, and one of them was an Astro Boy themed one! (Now I wonder if there ever were any for real?)


EDIT: The wayback machine found one! It was a custom re-themed one.


Not the way I imagined it though. Mine was based on the '63 series.
There was a toy Astro pin game though.
