For those who do not live on the East coast of the USA, you might not know about the blizzard that attacked the area starting early Friday evening. Because of the winds & drifting, I really do not know how deep it ought to be, but, it is over 24" & up to 5 feet in some drifts.

What is more, it drifted on our roof, & covered our furnace's air intake. Yesterday morning, I thought it was unusually cool, only to realize that the furnace had stopped working. As this was not the 1st time this happened, I was able to move a pipe inside our furnace so it would draw air from inside the house. :p irate: I had to prop open the door to the garage, just to be sure it would keep running. Snow sucks.

It sounds awful! I particularly love snow myself, but it really can be a force of stress and anger.

One year we got snowed in, literally, we could not get out. We had to open up the windows on the top floor and tunnel from the outside to the door to get out but that was well over 10 years ago.

The snow situation on the East Coast really concerns me, I have friends on the East Coast that have already been in a lot of trouble because of the weather and we're all just hoping for the best. I hope things lessen and everyone can have a tolerable time of it soon.

My ex-landscaper brother came today with his snow blower. He spent at least 4 hours, including fixing the thing. I still do not want to go out this week, as the roads will be a mess, even with the somewhat warmer temperatures, it still is too much. :santa:
