Star Wars: Rogue One and Hollywood’s trip through the uncanny valley (Gizmag article) has some interesting thoughts, among them, knowing that actors such as Peter Cushing died long ago, does it affect our enjoyment of the film, in which his CGI likeness appears? I do not expect to see this film at the theater, but rather, on DVD, streaming or Cable. Thus, the picture quality not to mention, size will be much different. I do not even know if the film has been released yet? If so, has anyone seen it, especially HAMMER fans? :hyo:

Another Gizmag article wonders about whether it ought to be o.k. to do this. Noting that Robin Williams had a clause in his will forbidding such reuse of his image for 25 years. In the text are clips of such commercialization of people's images. My favorite is DI R. Lee Ermy meets John General Wayne.
