So, like, I got excited at the posibility that Skunk Kusai would debut as the villain and that Imagi would later be able to make their Tetsujin 28 movie (which I will kill for), but I should've gotten the hint at the Japanese "studio" name. I know you meant well, but you painfully reminded me that Imagi is dead. Dead dead dead. Now I'm sad.

Oh sweetie Imagi's not dead, it's in a coma. Dead and coma are two very different things. And how do you think I feel? I made myself cry.

Yeah, he's overtly bold and perhaps leans towards overstatement, but I've long felt that Astro Boy was more than a cute cartoon. He was [is] an example of how to believe in the inherent good in all of us -- and how we need deep patience, and the ability to love others (even those who have misunderstood and hurt us).

I think as a global society, we are sadly a bit out of step with Astro Boy's outlook on life, and a lot of people don't think he's "cool" enough. A conspiracy? I'm not sure about that -- but the media and entertainment industry does tend to favor "heros" that are "bad boys" -- hmmm Atlas is more to their liking --

Here's another example: My favorite character from Star Wars was Luke Skywalker -- but who was more popular? Han Solo -- the "Atlas" -- the bad boy with the good heart.

Astro is a representation of someone just wanting everyone to get along. His idea of robots and humans getting along mirrors real society, why can't different religions get along? Why can't different ethnicities get along? Because in every group of people, whether they all share a religion, race, ideal etc. They will always be a percentage of people who don't want to get along with others. In Astro's world there are people who hate robots and won't fathom the idea of getting on with them, some of those people have their reasons and some don't. Same goes in the real world, some people hate people different to them and don't want to get along with them, some people have their reasons and some don't.

Anyways Astro is the embodiment of someone who just wants people to change so everyone can get along, but not everyone shares his ideals and those are the people he gets into confrontations with.

I guess that whole rant was completly pointless and everybody already knew all that but there you go.

Besides, these days even Pixar has gotten sequel-crazy. Cars 2, Monsters Inc. 2, Toy Story 2 and 3...anything can happen. Which is why you got my hopes up there for a minute...

Lol yeah it's got it's own little story. All the characters looking around confused, some wanting to commit suicide, but Astro stands to be the only one at peace. yet Tenma is so ashamed of his son tastes in music...he chucks him out the window. v.v tragic.

I found that picture by accident, before i'd been intent to have this at the end. XD I use it on msn all the time. Ahem and that fart was not man made...by me anyway o.o;
