I think they all started to increase in crapulence because Tony Caputo performed one of his famous paycheck divisions on Steacy. And that stamp says "??????ORE ARTIST". It's not the first time...I remember in issue 15, you can
clearly see tape all over the page when Astro reads a letter.
The more I work on these reviews, the angrier and angrier I get about them, because it's very evident in this particular issue that Ken Steacy never gave a crap. Particularly this mindblowing panel...
These are doodles. DOODLES. People paid money for this issue, and I'd never sleep again if I did that in one of my comics! Sure,
Cinderelliot wasn't that good from an author's retrospect, but at least I
tried in every single panel. I know from experience that you
need to make sure you're comfortable with all the character designs and the concept of a comic long before you start. And at any point, if you can't go on, get a replacement (or if you're not doing it commercially, just stop). They didn't try the latter until Steacy's art was borderline shabby.
I'd like to talk to Ken Steacy about this comic someday, since I know where to get in touch with him (hopefully before I completely lose my temper in a review).
