I was working on something with notepad, and I really don't think I touched or done anything except having to constantly move it around so that I could see things better. When suddenly I noticed that something was off.
The notepad window, and all other minimized windows on my screen, no longer overlap the bottom toolbar.
Here's a picture since pictures are better than words alone:

As you can see, it's now the toolbar that's overlapping the windows when I try to lower them. I have no idea how this happened, nor any idea how to revert it. I tried to restart my computer but it didn't help. Worst of all, it's even gone to a point where the windows can be moved off screen because of the toolbar is overlapping it.
If anyone knows about this, I would really appreciate the help. Thanks.
Having problem with my toolbar & windows

I look at the image, and it seems that the horizontal scroll bar is covered. That is all I can tell from this image. From your text as I understand it, you are saying that the TITLE BAR is covered, because this is the part you click and drag to move things around. Can you send a full screen shot (PRINT SCREEN) so we will have better idea of the situation?
Other than that, I can tell you that sometimes the TASKBAR is sometimes covered by other windows even though I have checked the box to keep it always on top of other things. I find it annoying, but not serious.

At the top left of the window. There is a menu called "View"
Where you can left clik and bring down the view menu. The function is f11.
At the right top is the size buttons. You can select the middle button "maximize" see if that works. Win 7...

The default behavior is that windows can go behind the taskbar, as in your second picture, but not over. Sometimes the opposite happens for short periods of times or until I reboot, but I never actually found an option to set it as yours usually is...
I'm on Twitter.
After doing a lot of talking with some people,
I have concluded that this is for some reason 'normal'. Most of the problems that people faced, which I found by doing a lot of Google searches, was that they originally set their task bar to auto-hide, which I never do.
Apparently, it is 'normal' for minimized windows, such as notepad or a MSN convo for instance, to be able to be overlapped by the taskbar to be moved off screen... Although I could have sworn that it originally never did do this.
Happens the same with my friend's computer, and my mom's Vista... so...
Basically, what F-Man said. Although I could have sworn that the taskbar never originally overlapped it. Either way, it's annoying all the same but I don't think there's anything I can do about it.
I can still take a better screenshot if needed, Jeffbert.
