I didn't entirely mean sega, I just saw sonic and mega man in your post I thought that you might be a little bit of a sega fan.

Ah, but Mega Man is by Capcom though, and it started on the Nintendo consoles.

Speaking of Capcom, I forgot to say I'm a huge fan of the earlier Resident Evil games as well. It's not a series of platforming games, so I always forget to mention it.

I used to love playing games like that even though they would scare the heck out of me. I thought Mega Man was from Sega, but I guess I was wrong. I've played Mega Man only once, but used to play sonic a lot.

I was a Dreamcast fanboy back in its day (its launch title, Sonic Adventure, is my favorite game of all time), but otherwise I don't see what makes me look like a Sega fan in what I said.

To see how hardcore I used to be: check this page. My name is listed third now, but at some point I was first for many years. It's a speedrunning site. You can see some of my videos here. I also still own the record for the Sonic segment of that game on Speed Demos Archive.

Dr. Jerk: no problem at all, my info's in my profile if you want to go ahead.

Regarding Mega Man, me and an old friend I haven't seen in years used to play the games a lot on the SNES, but I was so young that I don't remember them too well. As a young adult, I started playing Mega Man 1 on NES and GB, and Mega Man 2 (which instantly became one of my favorite games of all time). Then I kinda stopped playing games as I was making my way through Mega Man 3. So I regret to say I haven't played that many MM games. One of the reasons I bought a DS was for the ZX games and such, but that ended up not happening. I also have the first two volumes of the Megamix manga, but haven't read them yet.[/QUOTE]

I'm a fairly new MM fan myself to be honest, my first 'actual experience' was Mega Man 9, but I originally played Mega Man 64 as a child. To this day, the Legends series remains one of my top favorites, along with Classic and Zero series, and I am super stoked that Legends 3 was finally green-lighted.

I too am also interested in the Megamix manga. Only have the first volume so far, but I do intend to get the second one soon. Can't wait for the third volume too.

Whoa, had no idea! I knew the director of those games had wanted to do a new one for a long while. I played Mega Man 64 too, and I liked it even though it was just a rental and I didn't get very far.

The problem with all these Mega Man games is that I want to play them in order lol. When I bought my DS, there were about 20 games I wanted for it (from multiple franchises), but then I started the old MM games and realized it'd take a while.

If anyone played Mario games in order, there is more then 200 of them, that person would go completely and utterly insane. LOL XD

I didn't go insane, but I did go out of order since my friend was giving them to me and he had a lot of the Mario games all scattered in a drawer.

Sonic would win that because he's about to throw a left hook and knock Mario out just like Manny Pacquiao. Power to the south paw
