Sounds like a challenge . Who can be more shy me or Shiyonasan? As I've gotten older my shyness has started to ware off a little, but I'm still generally quiet when I'm in a large group setting. I usually am more open if the group is only about 2 or 3 people. Otherwise, it takes a lot for me to speak.

Having a low voice doesn't help either because when I do speak, I'm still quiet. In fact, some of my family and friends sarcastically drop their voice lower to mimic my voice sometimes. I tell you, it gets irritating after a while...

Anyway, it sounds like if you, me, and Astro Forever met up somewhere for a get-together, it would be one of the quietest get-togethers ever. Hopefully that doesn't happen.

I'm not extremely chatty even in my native language, but I'm not super shy either, I'm in between I guess. If I could overcome my language related shyness, it might not be too bad. I'm also thinking that if there was a large group, people would probably remain in smaller groups to discuss with each others.

I think we should meet up for Jetter Mars' official birth date. (Feb. 5, 2015, right?) It would be very appropriate, and it would give us all enough time to get ourselves together, no matter where we meet. (Hail, I'd meet in japan if you told me to X3) I'll assume most of us here know how to speak english fairly well, but we could also attempt other languages in order to speak more casually. (For example, I might command you all to learn german...) We'd all have to work on our english and the native language in that part of the planet. Maybe we'd all wear tags with our usernames on them

I MIGHT GO FOR A video conference meeting, but actually meeting in person will not work. I just cannot forget the time I was to meet someone, but she was an hour late. Moreover, I dare not upset the good thing I now have, by hoping for a better one, & perhaps, losing both.

It would be really a god idea unfortunatly ideas like this never to anywhere though if we all would meet up in some distant time from now in Japan let's say the Tezuka museum it might actually work ?

I mean a real otaku needs to go etleast once to japan come on, so it might actually be not that weird ?

yeha it could but the problem is would you be willing to go thousends of kilometers for it whitout to know who will be making it to there ?

To be honest, I think I am probably in between as well.

I just have an initial shyness to people I don't know that well. Once I get to know a person pretty well, I'm not as reserved as I usually am. I'm sure once we would get a conversation going, I would be more open.

The group thing is true as well. Like I said, being in a smaller group would help me to converse more.

if we could come up with a solution that worked on LINUX as well as windows and mac then I would be down for a vid chat, it would be best to start out with something like that first anyway until we get to know eachother better then make plans to meet face to face.

but I must insist on linux support for the vid chat, I refuse to use windows for that long.
