Some of you might already know about this though.
It's the next series after Avatar The last air bender.
Although I still kind of wanted to find out about Zuko's mom, but whatever 
The story takes place 70 years after the end of the Avatar: The Last Airbender story. After the war, Aang and Zuko brought people from the four nations together and founded United Republic, a large "metropolis powered by steampunk-type technology" such as cars and motorcycles. Wait a second, Metropolis steampunk-type technology? I wonder what that sounds like.
But it probably doesn't have any link to Tezuka's Metropolis. We can still dream though, can't we? Anyways, Aang and Katara had 3 children, only one Airbender though. His name, is Tenzin and he was taught air bending from his father Aang. While all this was going on, Toph and Ty Lee spread the teachings of medal and Chi bending to other benders.
After Aang's death, the next Avatar, Korra, was born to the Southern Water Tribe. Korra is a rebellious 16-year-old girl, but god do I love her. As the Avatar, she has already mastered Waterbending, Earthbending and Firebending. Her personality in many ways is the opposite of Aang. Aang was a peaceful, nomadic Airbender, she is tough, headstrong, and combative. Korra is also known to have an animal guide, this one a Polar Bear Dog named Naga.
I have very little information on the plot, which is kind of upsetting but whatever. Anti-benders called "Equalists", who oppose the art of bending, utilize techniques such as chi-blocking to further their goals of revolution, led by Oman. Korra must fight rampant crime and the anti-bender revolt, assisted by two brothers, Mako, a Firebender, and Bolin, an Earthbender. She is also joined by her animal guide, Naga, and the Metalbending police force of United Republic, who are led by Toph's daughter.
