There are not enough thank-you's for everything you have done for me!

You're welcome. It really was the least I could do, and I don't think it was that much.

Oh I did notice the poem as well, and found it beautiful, but I guess we all had in mind to comfort you first and foremost.

"Black Rabbit" wrote:Aww. My grandmother died at the age of 52, I think. ): But at least your mom is in a better place, right? ^___^ Terminal cancer? D: Both my grandmothers passed away from cancer, as well. :( Anyways, I'm glad you are okay. *hugs*

My dad was 53 when he passed, and I was only 17. He certainly was not a grampa! My parents had me when they were older.
I know my mom is in a better place and more importantly, that she is no longer suffering.

It was "terminal" because when she was diagnosed it was already a stage 4 cancer (this type of cancer only has 4 stages) Simply put, it had spread from the originally infected organ to several others. Cancer sucks.

Sometimes the smallest gestures make a world of difference. :)

On another note...

My mom and I had started a project (actually, she started it).
Basically she took notes of day to day experience with her sickness, and gradually she began to physically tremble too much to write, so I took over.
Now I have over 50 pages of notes, which I plan on writing into a book. The idea was to share first hand as it happens, the experience and cruelty of a disease such as this one.
This kind of literature, I later found out from a chaplain at the hospital, is called 'Phenomenology'- sharing the experience as it happens rather than after the fact.
I won't be posting it here, because it is much too graphic, but once it's done I will add the link to my website on this thread.

Thanks for responding. You know, for the last 4 months one thing that helped me is looking at this picture you drew of me in the "Sibling Angels" thread. It always made me smile since my brother and I were the ones that took care of mom when she couldn't anymore - and she never once missed an opportunity to tell us, or the doctors that we are her angels.

I drew this for you. I know its not done, but I thought it would be ruined if I tried to finish it. Here you go.

Novi, your poem both broke my heart but also gave me strength. This past weekend my late sister-in-law's grave stone had it's unveiling (she was Jewish, and they do that a year after the person dies). I still feel Sheri's presence, too. I believe we're all still around for each other, just in a different way. Hugs/blessings...
