Tezuka is this unpopular in the West? I'm a little sad to see that the Astro Boy manga books and the 80s box sets are going out of print. How are new fans going to buy the material? I don't want to sound selfish, I guess it's a good thing I've had the 80s box set for a few years now, and the existence eBay is also good.

I don't think you're being selfish at all with that statement. You're proud of your collection, so it's only natural you'd feel sad for newer fans.

Either ay, I agree with you, thank GOD for the existence of ebay. Though admittedly, this kind of makes me sad. I mean, yes, I'll be able to afford the books for cheap. But I'd rather just support the actual product than just buy it used or in mint condition if that makes sense.

Well, that depends. My advice would be to act now, and a least buy what you can afford, provided by what's in your collection, what you want most for your collection, and whether or not it's affordable.

It's too bad this is happening. I only have the first Dark Horse manga and was planning on buying more in the future. I'm pretty much in the same boat as Prettywitchiusaka on this; it really sucks having to be a newer fan to this series when it comes to purchasing the manga and DVDs.

I hear you.

The good thing though, s that I don't think the 03 series will be going out of print anytime soon.

Granted, even if that did happen, it wouldn't affect me (primarily because I own the 03 series boxset). But still, it's nice to see that the boxset is so popular on amazon, that it's almost out of stock with more on the way.
