I'm writing a YGO spin off fan manga.

Well I was kind of nervous to announce this. I'm still working on it. Basically it's a spin off series, like GX, 5D's and Zexal and stuff, but my spin off is way different than the other spin offs. How? Oh man.

Well for one thing, my main character is a female. I know it's weird, YuGiOh meaning King of Games, but hear me out. It's an interesting story actually.

Another thing, even though this series is set in the future, it almost links back to the original. You'll see why.

The main character is a cheerful 16 year old girl named Yuki Tsukino, who likes to be called Kuroko, it's her duelist name (like writers have a pen name and such). She's very tomboyish, a little naive, but very skilled at Duel Monsters, as well as other games. She goes to a special Duel School like Jaden in GX, though the show doesn't set every episode there like in GX. Inspired as a child by stories of Yugi's victorious duels, she wants to become the first female Duel Monsters champion.

Well in the beginning of the story, she goes home from school at the start of vacation to find her house was ransacked and her parents were kidnapped. She finds out they were takened by this evil beings called Minuses, strange beings that live underground, that look human, but they have strange inhuman like powers. They duel people and they take people's soul and most powerful cards, turning them into more corupted monsters. While Kuroko and friends are dueling, they must also find out what happened to her parents, and how to stop the Minuses.

Later Kuroko meets her grandmother, and discovers that her parents weren't actually her real parents! They were friends of her real parents, who got killed by the Minuses. Both her real parents and adoptive parents were former duelists. And apparently, it turns out that Kuroko is actually a descendant of Yugi Moto himself. I'm not going to say the rest because I don't want to spoil it.

Here's some drawings I made of Yuki "Kuroko" Tsukino. And she's wearing a replica Millenium Puzzle, as you may or may not know what happened to all the Millenium Items at the end of the original series. Her's is silver. Someone asked on the YuGiOh forum when I posted this. I hope you like, and will read it when I put up some pages on dA. The series is called YuGiOh RE. I hope people will like it when I post it. I made it my New Year's resolution to finish this story by the time I graduate next year. I only told a few friends about it, so I'm a little nervous.

ohh no don't feel that way! I'm sorry, I have no idea what you are talking about though -- I'm not familiar with that anime or game at all (so it's kind of hard to comment)

I understand. It's okay. I'm actually learning to play the card games so I can be able to draw the card duels and stuff. I pretty much know the original story though, so I understand why you would be confused.

To make a long story short, the story is set way into the future, the main character is a girl who wants to be the first female Duel Monsters champ, (Duel Monsters is the name of the card game in the YuGiOh media), she's a decendant of Yugi Moto, the main character of the original series, and she has to battle against this evil sinister group that kidnapped her parents. That's pretty much it in a nutshell.

Oh, okay - so that sounds pretty interesting! There is sooooo much in anime I don't know. I plan to spend my old age catching up!! XD
